Built in Sacramento. Built for social justice.
Started in June 2021, the Social Justice Now Political Action Committee wants to see those who live by social justice values in elected office. Our focus is Sacramento County.
We are community organizers, students, lawyers, nonprofit leaders, public servants, and small business owners. We strive to include any and all participants in our work and decision-making. We are strategic without compromising our social justice commitment.
We are resource brokers. We seek out collaborative partnerships and resources that help enhance our candidates' ability to get elected. Representation and equity matter — we center those who have not historically had access to resources.

Inclusion. Strategy. Equity.
We are inclusive. We strive to include any and all participants in our work and decision-making.
We are strategic. We do not compromise our social justice commitment to win — we win because of it.
We are resource brokers. We seek out partnerships and resources that help our candidates get elected.
Representation and equity matter. We center those who have not historically had access to power.
Candidates with a demonstrated commitment to social justice.
We invest in candidates with a demonstrated commitment to criminal justice reform, health equity, housing justice, public education, and improving civic engagement, government accountability, and transparency.
These candidates understand the histories, systems, and structures of inequity — and that social justice means redistributing wealth, opportunities, and privileges, with vision and strategy, so that we all do well.
"Because social justice cannot wait. The time for action is now." #SocialJusticeNow
